The findings will guide our 2027 interventions and help us direct resources where they are most needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-custom-pure-gold-color has-custom-emerald-green-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-2\">SCHOOL NEEDS ASSESSMENT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-custom-pure-white-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-3\">GOO JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bongo District, Upper East Region, GhanaAssessment Date: 21 September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the 2027 Upper East Region Project, a needs assessment was conducted at Goo Junior High School. The assessment identified inadequate classroom furniture as a key challenge. Some students rely on individual plastic chairs during lessons, leaving them without proper desks or writing surfaces for their books and classroom activities. This creates an unsuitable learning environment and highlights the need for adequate student desks and chairs. The assessment identified that many students lack essential items needed for school, including appropriate footwear, school bags, books and basic stationery such as pens and pencils. These challenges can affect students\u2019 ability to participate comfortably and effectively in their education.
